Ok my 3 year old computer died, well the mother board died It was a high end dell with a 3 year warranty. Which I extended for another year.

Thank God because that was when the mother board died. Unbelievable but dell's in home tech could not fix it after trying two mother boards.

Most unbelievable dell replaced it with a state of the art brand new computer studio 9000 FREE with i7 processor two mirrored hard drives each one terabite.

Two r rw dvd players one a bluray and gforce 240 1 gig on on.

Well here is where i need help. I took he two hard drives out of the old computer and put one into one of those hard drive boxes and plugged it in to the usb on the new computer

the old drive is a 320 gb ( WD3200KS ) well one drive the new computer reads the i partition but the j partition does not show up

the other hard drive which was mirrored from the first hard drive with raid does not show up at all in the new computer.

any suggestions on how to get the new computer to read the j partition???? i tried disk management but it was not there.

and how do you get the new computer to read the mirrored hard drive???

the ols system was windows xp and the new system is windows 7

thanks

Not sure what "hard drive box" you picked up. Same thing happened to me and I bought a hard drive box as well. The first one I bought didn't work. So I bought a rocketfish enclosure and I was able to pull all my data from that. Is that all you are trying to do, just pull off the data? If that's all, you are welcome to try the enclosure I bought to pull off the data and copy it over to your new computers drive(s).
