Summerfield residents, when the snow piles up climb or walk over it to throw out your trash! The recycle area is for one thing only...recyclable items not your household trash. I was appalled to see trash over flowing in both recycle areas next to each dumpster. If my wife and I can make an effort to throw out our trash properly so can you! BTW, the dumpster over by the maintenance unit has been working properly through the entire last week.

+1 AND PICK UP THE DAMN DOG POOP!!! Seriously, the doggie depot station is less than 3 feet away from where you dog poops and you STILL can't pick it up? My boots are totally hating you right now. Grow up!

Aren't people fabulous? I have always been under the impression that you would probably have to be somewhat literate in order to afford a place here, but obviously I was wrong.

I understand it doesnt fit in the compactor. I would let that slide, but it is the mass amount of trash bags filled with non-recyclables. I would have gotten better pictures but didn't want my son rummaging through the trash.

People must see some trash on the ground, assume the compactor is broken/full, and just dump their crap w/o taking 2 seconds to check. Pretty nasty. Our society really has become a race to the bottom.

Yeah that is exactly what happens, despite the fact that there are now signs posted there saying "don't assume the compactor isn't working!" along with an emergency phone number to call in case it actually isn't working.

It is indeed a shame. As an FYI, MM--the regular trash service has resumed and that's going fine, but recycling service has been delayed. Management has been trying to get a recycling truck out here since Friday to pick that up--hopefully it will happen tomorrow. They are VERY backed up.

MF--I wasn't complaining about the trash or recycle service it was definitely directed towards lazy residents. I for one would not throw my trash there even if both compactors were broke. I would take my trash to work and throw it in the dumpster there.
