Thank you to Rick, Stan and all the others who worked tirelessly to clear our streets. I was amazed at how drivable the neighborhood was on Sunday. Everyday you have been out plowing at all hours and during all kinds of conditions.
When watching the news, I couldn't believe all of the neighborhoods that had yet to see a plow come through from the weekend storm - we are lucky to have you. Thanks for all of your hard work!

Agree. They've done a great job. We seem to be in better shape than most.
I "escaped" Brambleton today. So happy to be out of the house. I was surprised at how well the roads were cleared. Everything from Creighton on out to Waxpool was almost completely clear. Visibility is a bit tough with the huge mounds of snow, so you may need to modify your stopping and turning points. The Brambleton streets (Explorer and Hales Trace) still had snow on them, but I did not have trouble driving. The alley was incredibly clear. I had no problems backing out of our garage.
BTW, the gas station over by Red Robin is out of gas.

I think they did a fabulous job also. We are lucky with how responsive they are. Now if only they could make the rest of the snow melt and the temp jump about 40 degrees.

I agree - great job on our streets! My husband got stuck over in Broadlands the other day - he said you get fooled by how decent our streets are so you think all the other neighborhoods would be just as clear (NOT!).
So big thanks go out to those who worked through the night to keep our Brambleton streets as clear and safe as possible during these winter storms!

I totally agree with the kudos to the crew who worked endless hours to clear our streets. Driving on the streets of old town Leesburg Tuesday afternoon was very difficult--frozen rutted slush as much as 6-8" deep all over. Broadlands was somewhat better but compared to Brambleton it was as if they hadn't plowed at all.
Even with all the hard work I am sure some folks have complained about one thing or another--certainly not warranted given the extreme conditions and how passable our community is today!!

Couldn't agree more. I ventured out to work today, and had virtually no problems. In or out of the hood.
I wouldn't drive like a nut (not that I normally do), but other than that.

I wish they did more of a piss poor job so that I'd have an excuse to miss more work... but well done, folks.

Since most of my coworkers live in Fairfax and their side streets are not plowed, nobody knows any different on why I have to work at home.

We just came back from lunch and I said the same thing to my wife. We are in a great shape compared to BCC and other communities.
Great job Rick and crew!

On the first round of blizzard (february 6th), I met a snowplower and my god! He worked for over 26 hours straight with no sleep, I took his name and I want to commend him for spending so much time in this Brambleton community. He even took a good care of the Mount Olmsted (corner) whereas he moved some snow from one of my neighbors' driveway. (I think someone accidently could not see the garage and made a mistake for putting so much pile of snow on the driveway.)

Agree 100% As much as I love my sleep, it was music to my ears to hear the "beep beep beep" of the plows backing up and the "scrapping" of the front loaders moving the snow overnight! The crew out there did an incredible job! THANK YOU!

Agreed. Normally, that beeping would have annoyed me, but I really appreciated how hard the crews were working. Brambleton did a fantastic job!

Hales Trace has been worked on for 2 days and now is in great shape. it really helps when the homeowners park their cars off the roads so the plows can come clear it. They had a front loader on Hales Trace for 2 days just trucking the now all out in dump trucks. We can now fit 2 cars each way . some of
Explorer still not good but that's also because a lot of cars parked along the side and buried under the snow. some of the other communities are terrible like Camden Crossing/Westwind near us. Brambleton did a great great job thanks Rick and staff !

I also want to tip our collective hat to the plow crews and the shovelers that have worked the neighborhood so well not only this week, but during the December storm, too. You people did a terrific job clearing the streets and walks so we could decimate the Teet's inventory of beer and toilet paper. Thank you very much!
And also thanks to the county's plow drivers. Incredible job in the face of historic weather conditions.
May you all soon be able to go home and get some much-needed, uninterrupted sleep!

I concur - our roads were the best, I think and much better than anywhere else I saw. Made driving in much easier for me (since I had to be there). Great job!

Another prop for the road crew, whatever assessment comes as a result, I'm sure it was money well spent.

Maybe for those outside of Summerfield it is money well spent, but not over here! Piling snow on top of fire hydrants not good then again I live in Summerfield so why should Brambleton HOA care?

Summerfield has a separate contract with HLS for snow removal. Brambleton HOA has nothing to do with it, and Summerfield was not serviced after Brambleton HOA in most areas.
The Residences, on the other hand, are still under developer control. Summerfield was in better condition.
