That...and a burger or any fast food joint will suffice.

Do they deliver? The thought of the turkey burger is making me drool.

"Loudoun County public safety officials strongly advise residents to stay home, and not to attempt to drive. Life-threatening blizzard conditions have developed rapidly across the Baltimore-Washington region this morning.

The combination of snow, strong gusty winds and blowing snow will make travel extremely difficult, if not impossible, during the morning and into the afternoon. People are urged to remain at home, and not to drive. This will help road crews keep roads clear for emergency vehicles. "

Yeah, I mean...its great they are open...but don't go out.

What's the expiration on meat? They might need to move some stock. (like many restaurants) Might want to resist temptation to rush to the restaurants after a week of snow like this. Though might not be wisest thing to open today and encourage travel, plows might even be pulled out of service for the blizzard.

If that were the case, maybe they could offer free/discounted meals to plow drivers and emergency personnel!

I was thinking that exact thing after the last bit storm....but didn't post it because I didn't want to be 'unsupportive of local businesses'. UGH. icon_rolleyes.gif

I would LOVE to go out to eat but do think some places will be trying to unload some refrig. items quickly. No thanks.

I highly doubt most places would put questionable food on the table. Possible violations of health codes and complaints to the health department from customers are just not worth the trouble to save/make a few bucks.

The Mrs. had to throw out a bunch of food, mostly the prepped stuff, after the last storm. My guess is most places would have the sense to do the same.
MrCheeks
I wish I could be driving out in this. And Fuddruckers does sound good....

My neighbor's brother works for Dominion Power and they work extremely hard during these storms. I know they would appreciate a warm place and a good hot meal during their breaks!
Villager
I could walk there from my house. But I don't want to! Brrrrrr!

We place our food orders in anticipation of the storms so we had very little inventory over the weekend, which we eventually sold off Mon and Tue.

We received a truck load of fresh food yesterday so we're all good.

And as another member mentioned, we couldn't possibly serve food that was old or questionable in any way.

We're definitely not encouraging people to come out. We are only mentioning that we're an option if people did want to make the trek.

We live in Loudoun Valley Estates and the trip was not that bad after we got out of our neighborhood.

BE SAFE EVERYONE AND ONCE THE WEATHER DIES DOWN THIS AFTERNOON...COME ON OUT!

PS - We will offer a discount to all the hard-working plow personnel out there...spread the word!

So do you deliver if it is a $50.00 order?

Wouldn't you feel bad about them risking their lives so you can get a burger? Not judging, just sayin'.

Believe me, if we had more than my wife and I running the restaurant, we would definitely do so but we're a little short-handed. And I feel if I opened up that can, we'd be crushed with calls from Brambleton smile tongue.gif

Once it's safe for y'all to come out, for those able to brave the conditions, we will go ahead and take 15% OFF your entire purchase. Just mention you came out from Brambleton.

How's the parking lot over there? I was there Monday trying to get gas at the 7-11 and the road in was VERY bumpy.

BTW - I love this Fuddruckers! Everything there is always so clean and fresh and service is always awesome! I've been to other FR that are not nearly run as nicely. Oh and it helps that they make the best burgers outside of five guys!

I don't know if you showed up, but he asked me if I was Mr Cheeks. After we sat down, the lady asked me who "sweet cheeks" was. icon_eek.gif

We definitely enjoyed our burgers tonight. Yum!

BTW--I totally agree about how well run this Fuddruckers is. I always see the husband/wife team there working hard. It is always nice and clean there. Hopefully the owners will appreciate this--my son's 3 year old birthday was on 1/31. My parents came in and we told him we could go anywhere he wanted to eat. He picked Fuddruckers by name!

So that's where we went, and the owner's wife gave my son an extra cookie because it was his birthday.

So we'll be seeing you all again soon for sure!

Thank you all for the kind words. We will continue to try and do our best.

For those who came out tonight and had to wait for their food longer than usual, please accept our apologies. We definitely got hit harder than we expected.

We will be better staffed next time.

Thank you to the husband and wife team (and some helpers) at Fuddrucker's tonight.

Thanks for the great burger, fries and chocolate shake
Thanks for the outstanding service and most importantly...

Thanks for being open!! Lots of plow truck drivers there.

I felt like a dork doing it but I sent an email to the Loudoun area VDOT office stating that Fudds would be open so they could tell their drivers. I figured if the drivers have been sleeping in their trucks and probably eating sack lunches some hot food would sound good to them.

Sorry I didn't see your post until now. Yes --- if you introduce yourself as "Mr. Cheeks from Brambleton", I will go ahead and honor the 15% OFF! Offer good through this weekend. If someone gives you any flack, tell them to get a hold of Joey...that's me.

Gotcha, You guys looked busy last night. The wife and I could not find any parking near you so we went to Bertuccis instead...only because the parking spot we found closest to you guys was right at there front door. It just woulden't feel right to park there and go somewhere else wink2.gif
