Should we be worried about what may happen to our home and detached garage roof?? I know there's nothing I can do about it but wondered what the chances are of....failure. OMG

The wind is not doing as much as I thought it would. Huge branches are falling off the cedars behind our house left and right. Just saw a new one pop about 10 minutes ago.
I'm headed outside to clear off my trees as much as possible.

my mother works in real estate for a builder....i asked her that too. she says not to worry. the roof is built to withstand this kind of snow/weather.

this is nothing compared to the high wind we got in (Sept) 2003. The trees are a different story... I have several that i don't think will survive the weight of the snow.

Since the storm, I have cleared our tree's/bushes several times. I would highly advise, this snow is HEAVY.

Did the hemlock and the front bushes an hour ago. Don't forget your outside AC unit thingees! Dig those out!

Yes, and its easy to do--a broom works wonders.

We just had a 14' pine tree topple over, pulling the roots right out of the ground!
