Well that was much different than the first. We went from calm and relaxed to chaotic and crazy-fast this time around. Our son Ian was born yesterday at around 4:30 pm, after arriving to the hospital just 1 1/2 hour half earlier. Fuzzyturtle was a real trooper, and I mean real tooper if you know what I mean! He was 4 weeks early at 6 lbs 1 oz, and he is doing very well.
If you saw a crazy driver yesterday afternoon, that was me. I was tempted to pass a guy going 10 mph on Legacy while my wife was screaming bloody murder and yelling at me to push the pedal to the medal but common sense prevailed.
I will post pics shortly.

The thought crossed my mind- that would have been one serious cardio workout.

Were you living in Brambleton when she was born?

That might be the difference because Fanlet didn't get the Brambleton delivery memo either. She was a week early and weighed in at 8 pounds and didn't want to come out.

No, we were up in MD. But put Lil K and Fanlet together and they can be the B'ton average (not really, but let's pretend). And wow - 8 lbs? I think Lil K was averaging a pound for each month she was until she was almost a year. She made a big leap then and was about 15 lbs. I have a friend who's daughter was over 12 lbs when she was born. I couldn't even imagine.
I wish we had been in B'ton. All the B'ton babies are coming out perfectly baked and at the right size.

We were living in Arlington and Fanlet was born in DC. I have a friend with three children and none of them were less than 9 pounds. I think her first was close to 11 pounds.
