Yankeesfan was trying to turn on to Vickery Park and the cops would not let him to our house 4 houses down. The cop would only tell him that they "were looking for someone." Fanlet is completely freaked out. They were coming back from her tae kwon do class and she still needs to do her homework which is at the house.

So he must have been the guy behind Yankeesfan. Though, Yankeesfan turned off on to Livingston and is now making the turn on to Vickery Park.

Yeah Yankeesfan went to the bank parking lot after being turned away at Vickery Park and saw a cruiser drive through the lot there and then speed away.

Yankeesfan and Fanlet have arrived at home; they were able to turn from Regal Wood on to Vickery Park. Yankeesfan said the cruiser was still stationed at Ryan and Vickery Park.

Busy night for the police. At about 6:30 there were three police cruisers on Magellan. They had two guys cuffed on our driveway. Lovely.

As soon as Yankeesfan was home, our neighbor across the street called to see if he knew anything and the neighbor told him the cops had been walking around our next door neighbor's backyard.

I'm still at work, so I called the non-emergency number. They would not tell me anything. The dispatcher said "We don't have anything we can advise right now. Have your husband and daughter obey police direction."

Fanlet is completely freaked out and told me tearfully that she wants to move to another state. I'd say her sense of safety here has been shattered. That's pretty sad for an 8-year-old.

How you uh, how you comin' on that novel you're working on? Huh? Got a a big, uh, big stack of papers there? Got a, got a nice litte story you're working on there? Your big novel you've been working on for three years? Huh? Got a, got a compelling protagonist? Yeah? Got a obstacle for him to overcome? Huh? Got a story brewing there? Working on, working on that for quite some time? Huh? Yeah, talking about that three years ago. Been working on that the whole time? Nice little narrative? Beginning, middle, and end? Some friends become enemies, some enemies become friends? At the end your main character is richer from the experience? Yeah? Yeah? No, no, you deserve some time off.

I doubt what happened in front of our house is related to what's going on now. There are cops all deep in this!

Taken in front of my house. That is a sheriff's department car blocking the Ryan Road/Vickery Park Drive entrance into the hood.

Okay, don't laugh, I just turned on all my outside lights so if there's a fugitive in the neighborhood he won't crouch down in my backyard under my deck or in the bushes by my porch.

Am I hysterical or is this smart?
