Wanted to share with you a very good experience I had with a local Brambletonian, JK Ronay. His company, Blue Moon Construction, built out my basement bar and it was definitely a positive experience start to finish.
He came out at night after work to discuss the project. Was very responsive to both voicemail and email (love having someone with a blackberry!) and most importantly, he did a great job. JK worked within to my budget doing somethings custom and somethings from other 3rd parties. His attention to detail was amazing and he always accomidated any request. I've worked with many different sub contractors since I've been in this house and JK was far and away the best I've dealt with. Here's his website: www.BlueMoonConstruction.net As you can see he does much more than just bars. This post has been edited by markydc: Sep 1 2009, 12:09 PM |

We have used him for multiple projects as well, including a basement bar, and recommend him as often as we can. JK is awesome.

I second the recommendation for Blue Moon Construction. After talking to 8 contractors this summer, we picked Blue Moon (formerly Ronay Customs) to build our patio/deck and couldn't be more happier. JK was very accessible throughout the project via email and BB while I was at work and came by at night to answer all my questions and give us updates when necessary. JK was great in assisting us with design and selection of materials as well. His crews were professional, friendly, efficient, cleaned up the work space every day, and most importantly did excellent work (see pics).
Our project with Blue Moon included a paver patio with PA fieldstone sitting walls, Evergrain composite deck and stairs, and Cedar pergola. If you have any questions about the work Blue Moon did for us, feel free to contact me. I highly recommend them! |

We are interested in a small 2 level deck for our courtyard made from composite deck materials. -------------------- "Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. JK is in my house now. Two new rooms of hardwood, new tile on the basement bar (marble not a good idea) and a couple of shelves being installed. Woohoo!

Where'd you put the hardwood? Also in the basement? Office and the living room. They were the only two carpeted rooms on our main level. It looks wonderful! It's amazing what a difference it makes. Those rooms went from blah to sophisticated in just a few hours. I can't wait to go buy new living room furniture. Thanks JK! |

I saw them out there yesterday while walking my oversized moose dog, and was wondering where you were getting the hardwood. -------------------- WTF you lookin' at? Hi Mark,
Thanks for the picks of the stocked bar pictures. Looks great with your personal touches. Hope you are enjoying it.
